I, Keith Haskel, am the world’s #1 spotted lanternfly squisher.
I started my war against this invasive species after learning that they suck the sap out of trees, and then experiencing them pee out the aforementioned sap onto my unsuspecting head. Without human intervention they will destroy grapes, apples and many other beloved vegetation, and because they’re not from here, they have no natural predators keeping their numbers at bay.
…Other than I, Keith Haskel, the world’s #1 spotted lanternfly squisher!
Life is a circle. And so was this blurb.

I’m a comedy/talk show/documentary showrunner who’s been working in TV since 2007. I love to run a fun & loose set and then meticulously craft the footage into something hilarious & perfect in post.

a series of follow comedy docs I’ve made with my comedy partner, Rob Malone. We’ve made four with Chris Gethard and one with Connor Ratliff.
A Connor Ratliff Holiday Special
Starring Chris Gethard, Griffin Newman, David Simms, Rob Malone, Keith Haskel & Ramona
2011 holiday special covering the first year of The Chris Gethard Show.
I absolutely love documenting weird stuff going down in public. And oftentimes, I instigate it. Here's some of that:
My second installment of FETCH!, a series in which I find obscure things for comedians or else I am forced to face terrible consequences.
My first episode of Chris Gethard Presents includes the first installment of my series FETCH! and a conversation with my father that I wish I never had.
Dorks (my wife and I) battle subway dancers.
My first of what will inevitably be many Dad videos.
The Chris Gethard Show was a real life Wayne’s World. We went from a labor of love public access show to a live cable TV series executive produced by Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis.
We had an unforgettable 7-year run that I co-executive produced and appeared on camera as the party-loving-and-eco-friendly Bananaman. I've put so much time into show that it's now engrained in my family's DNA: I met the lovely Bethany Hall when the show first started, and now we’re married with three kids!
My highlights through the years include trying to expose a secret society, performing at Bonnaroo and the road trip leading up to it, guessing what's inside a dumpster, dancing to awesome bands and annual holiday specials with the World's Greatest Dancer Rob Malone.

Deerhoof is one of my favorite bands of ALL TIME. Their performance on TCGS will forever be a career (and concert) highlight of mine.

This episode includes the most positive 3 minutes in the history of television.

My one-hour special tracking Murf's attempts to expose a secret society in North Carolina.
From tape the broadcast, we had about 48 hours to finish our San Diego Comic Con special. I edited this on zero sleep and it absolutely shows.
Real couples get married and Will Ferrell gives really bad "best man" speeches.

One of my favorite hobbies of the past decade has been shooting, editing, producing and occasionally appearing in the prank troupe Improv Everywhere's social experiment "missions".
From annual worldwide no pants subway rides to clown-car port-a-potties to thousands of people listening to an adventure-creating MP3, it’s been a real trip being one of the forces documenting Improv Everywhere live up to their tagline, "we cause scenes".

Murf Meyer, a wild-man with a rocky past, makes it his mission to expose an evil secret society from Chapel Hill, NC known as the Order of Gimghoul.
We spent a few years chasing them down and the results were questionable. Here's that saga:
Murf's first public outcry regarding Gimghoul.
While studying film & TV at NYU, I befriended and collaborated with the awe-inspiring artist Aakash Nihalani who opened my eyes to the wonderful, whimsical and wild world of street art.
That relationship lead to me making "Spending Time With Poster Boy," a micro-doc that was featured on the front page of YouTube as well as in the Oscar-nominated documentary "Exit Through The Gift Shop". Kanye West even blogged about it and it now has over 1,000,000 views to date.
Here are videos I one-man-band'ed: I shot, produced, directed and edited these myself.
This isn't street art, but it's part of my Spending Time With interview series. Jon Glaser, maaaaaan... that guy's the absolute best.
After being engulfed in the street art world, I couldn't help but poke some fun at the self-righteousness of it all.
I showed up to The Chris Gethard Show in 2011 wearing a banana costume, and I never really stopped. Immediately dubbed "Bananaman," I quickly became a recurring socially-conscious party-loving character performing all over the US, including a cross-country Bonnaroo-sponsored road trip.
I’ll never tap out!!!!
I love directing, editing, shooting and writing absolutely weird web-videos. My favorite location? On the streets.
Collaborators include Rob Malone, The Chris Gethard Show and UCB Comedy.
Used to make these for fun in my spare time. Here’s a sampling:

Challenged by the producers of The Chris Gethard Show to come up with the scariest, most disgusting video for a Halloween episode, Rob Malone and I came up with this.
We ultimately turned it into a trilogy and are equal parts embarrassed and amused by the results.
Our third and final (as of now) extremely blasphemous installment of the series features Conner O'Malley.
Before signing on to star in Broad City, Ilana agreed to star in this stupid video.

A very specific inside-joke of sorts for a high concept episode of The Chris Gethard Show.

Blissful Thinking is a comedic and socially-conscious social experiment series for Seriously.TV/Hulu. It’s got stigma-erasing interactive installations, fact-filled monologues, lots of goofy animations and much much more. There are 18 episodes in total and each one analyzes a different social issue.
Sadly, it’s hard to find this series now that Go90 and Seriously.TV have folded, and most of these links stopped working! …Bummer!
Infinite loops of things I’m in or things I’ve made.
